Hi, I’m Phil Rashkin, a musician and educator based on the Upper West Side in New York City. For over 20 years, I have helped my students receive acceptance into distinguished programs and develop a lifelong love of music.
I teach a variety of students, including:
High School Students who would like to attend a dream academic college or music conservatory for college.
My oboe students have been accepted to Harvard, Brown, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, Princeton, Yale, Manhattan School of Music, and The Eastman School of Music.

2. Elementary and Junior High Students who would like to attend an arts high school, distinguished pre-college program, or summer music program. I coach students of all instruments through this process.
My students have attended LaGuardia High School, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, The Special Music School, Juilliard Pre-College, Mannes Pre-College, Manhattan School of Music Pre-College, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute.
3. Adult students who would like to discover the joy of music and take their skills to the next level.
My students have written and performed original songs, learned to read sheet music and play music by ear, discovered the joy of composing their own music, and held a performance of a new musical.
